Rumor has it that . . . It’s Butter or Maybe Not.
Director Jim Field Smith’s satire, Butter premiered in Toronto last week.
Investors should not rush to take the standing ovation as an indicator for anything yet. No one is sure of exactly what those indications will be once the film hits American markets. Let’s not forget there are curdles to be churned when making butter. Any satire on American politics is so over done. But to describe the film as mean-spirited???? H-m-m-m.
Critics are already carving off their portions. Will Butter be a low phat role for golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award-winning Jennifer Garner? To paraphrase Field Smith, “The proof is in the pudding.”
Ok ladies; don’t line up yet to buy tickets. You probably aren’t going to spot hubby Ben Affleck in this flick. No mention of him in the film. No hint of this being a Daredevil repeat. According to MTV, his Town is released on blue-ray this week. Can we say promotion biz?
